Commission Me

Unlike buying one of my pre-existing paintings, commissioning me gives you the ability to customize a painting to your specific requirements, including size, color, mood, and aesthetic preferences. If you like my work, I would love to discuss how I can bring your vision to life! 

Commissioning an original work of art is an exciting experience, and is a wonderful way to personalize your collection and/or acquire pieces that complement your space. I enjoy creating a finished piece that will be a one-of-a-kind original you can enjoy for years to come.

What are you looking for?

  • • Can you describe what you are looking for?

    • Is there a completion date you have in mind?

    • What size painting do you have in mind?

    • Where is the painting going to be displayed?

    • Can you point to some of my paintings you particularly like and tell me what it is that appeals to you?

    • Do you prefer a landscape (horizontal), portrait (vertical) or square format?

    • What is your budget?

    • Do you need a frame? I recommend SMC Wood Designs.

  • • You decide if you want a painting that’s based on one of my existing pieces or a completely new idea.

    • Contact me via my contact form.

    • I formalize your request with a quote and an estimated completion date.

    • You sign the agreement, return it to me and pay the first non-refundable down payment.

    • Then, we work closely throughout the process from conceptualization to delivery. We’ll discuss the specifics of your piece that will help me throughout my creative process. Then, I begin your painting.

    • Halfway through, depending on your location, we meet in person (or via Zoom) so I can show you the progress.

    • Once your painting is finished, I will send you photos.  It is very important that you are delighted with the finished piece.

    • You provide approval of your painting and a request for final payment.

    • Once payment is received, we can arrange pickup/shipping.
